It was also amazing to meet some fab new fellow tech folk, Duncan Chapple (who blew me away with an uncanny knack of reading people!) & the lovely Emanuel Kolta from GSMA … and of course, to catch up with my dear friend Sally Eaves. But until then, I remain grateful to what the tech in my life facilitates, but still firmly in need of IRL connection. Maybe the metaverse, or similar technology, will evolve to the extent that this can be experienced. Yet, nothing replaces being in physical proximity of another persons heart beat and spending this time together left much deeper imprints. Our virtual connectedness had allowed us to achieve many great things together over the years, and to build a solid friendship. How they overlap and where their limitations lie. This got me thinking about the virtual and physical worlds. As though some of the gaps, masked by a virtual-only relationship, were filled in. However, after we parted I had a much deeper impression of who she truly was.
